Learn how to cultivate an abundance mindset in each moment!

abundance mindset

Abundance is sometimes hard to see, but it is all around us. If we want to feel abundant, we must create something called an ‘abundance mindset’. When we are thinking in this mindset, we attract more positive things into our life. Wonderfully enough, there is a simple way to get it and it’s through practicing gratitude. Being grateful is simple, and the benefits are fantastic.

We live in a vibrational universe that adheres to the law of attraction and where your mind goes energy flows. What that means, is if you are focusing only on what you don’t have or what’s missing from your life, you will only attract more scarcity. It’s difficult to attract abundance when you’re only thinking of lack. Luckily, it works the other way as well! Practicing sincere gratitude for the things you have or the things you appreciate will naturally bring more of them to you. If you see the world through a lens of gratitude, your world will grow beyond your imagination. A lovely side effect of practicing gratitude is also feeling more joyful. What you focus on is what you bring more of into your life. So, let’s focus on gratitude!

Quick Ways to Use Gratitude

Gratitude Journal

Keeping a gratitude journal is a wonderful way to create an abundance mindset. You can do this though jotting down thankful thoughts of things that occur throughout the day. You could also make a list before bed and meditate on it. Either way, keeping a gratitude journal keeps your focus on thankfulness and love and away from the things you don’t want.

Pause and Look For Gratitude in Resistance

When you are feeling resistance, or negative emotions, take a moment and pause. First, acknowledge what is present in you and allow the feelings to be there. Negative emotions are normal and we don’t want to push them away because often times they carry very valuable information about our current experience both internally and externally. Second, perhaps try some self-compassion exercises to nurture yourself. Then, if it feels right, to uplift your spirits, look around you and say out loud ten things you feel good about. Find the things that have the purest vibration of gratitude for you without any resistance. We can tend to get stuck in a negative spiral where we only see what is negative around us. This gratitude practice will get us out of that spiral and help us get back into an abundance mindset quicker!

Use Grateful Abundance Mindset Affirmations

Affirmations are a powerful tool to change your mindset because they plant seeds for your mind to think a certain way. So if you are focusing on what you lack and comparing what you have to what others have, try out a few of these affirmation and see if they work!

  • I am grateful to already have everything I need.
  • I am grateful to be attracting prosperity
  • Feeling gratitude attracts abundance
  • I am grateful for all I have and all that is coming to me.
  • I am grateful to feel that I am enough.

Gratitude for Other’s joy

One thing that hinders our ability to be grateful for what we have is something called the “comparing mind”. This is when we look at what other’s have, and feel a sense of lack when we look at our own lives and see we don’t have it. One way to work with this difficult experience is to actively practice being grateful when others are experience success and joy. It may feel like you’re faking it at first, but try your best to really feel the gratitude that life is abundant for them right now. The more you focus on feeling joy and gratitude when your friends and family succeed, the more you will attract success and abundance yourself!

Keep it Going

When you feel joyful or happy, keep it going full steam ahead by thinking another beautiful, grateful thought, and another, and another. When you do this, you start to build neural connections in your brain that make it easier to feel grateful and to see abundance in the future. Focus on the feeling of gratitude and let it flow while drawing a stream of abundance to you effortlessly.
